UP one district one product scheme was launched on 24th January 2018 to protect and preserve traditional crafts and small Enterprises this scheme was launched with the aim to provide employment and more job opportunities in the field. this scheme was launched by the chief minister of Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. According to the scheme every district in the Uttar Pradesh state will have a unique product that will serve as an identity of the district. This has been kept in the category of MSME. The one district product scheme aims to provide more employment and jobs in rural areas mostly.

According to this scheme, all the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be covered during the 5 years and 25 lakh people are predicted to get employment. So far 89 thousand crores worth of products has been sold in both local and foreign. Uttar Pradesh is famous for Glasswork, chicken clothes, perfumes, etc in the whole world. These Small items are made by small artists and craftsmen living in the villages. Uttar Pradesh’s one district one product scheme will provide these people a means of livelihood to start their family business again with the help of the Uttar Pradesh state government.
One district one product new updates 2021
As we all know one district one product scheme was started by the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Yogi Adityanath. this scheme is mainly aimed to provide more employment and increase production.
On the 3rd of December 2020 in the district of Shamli, a fair was organized in which all products and crafts were exhibited. Many people why provided with a loan at this fair.
According to one district, one product 2021 ODOP tools were given to the beneficiaries. The cost of odop tools is about 38 lacs.

The main motto of this scheme is to provide help and financial support to the craftsman and small artisans present in every district who are leaving their family art and craft business and moving to large cities to feed their families. this scheme will provide them the financial support and government help. According to the district one product scheme, the small craftsman will get good profit even at the regional level. This will also stop the Migration of workers from small towns to larger cities.
